Here are some of the evolutionary features for WhitbyBrewerSailboats.com (WBS.com):

1. Members can create and host PERMANENT articles on any aspect of W and Bs without the need to own proprietary software.

2. The Association has a means to present information - articles, messages, files, photos and links - in an organized and managed manner.

3. We have the capability to manage the site such that backups and archiving occur on a regular basis.

4. We can maintain an on-going asset for the Association that exists for as long as the Association desires.

5. A repository and knowledge base that survive one or more individuals.

6. A means to restrict access to a verified group for article creation, photo upload, messaging. (The yahoo site has been moderated daily for ITS ENTIRE EXISTANCE due to attempts to spam the list. That's a lot of hours having been donated for the group's benefit! and what a waste of time that could have gone into articles and such!)

7. A discussion forum that imposes an organization - STILL EVOLVING - so that postings are accessible and viewable permanently in an organized manner.

8. Having a discussion forum that provides the capability to support messaging on any legitimate topic area.

9. Maintaining a file repository so that uploads and downloads are managed with any necessary licenses imposed.

10. A site that permits the collection of personal information, approved on an individual basis, so that we maintain an accurate member list.

11. There are more, but I'll quit.

Well done Greg, this is an outstanding format even if it takes some time to catch on.

Well done glt - the test worked.

Here is a nice photo of sailboats in Haiti that my wife took many years ago, posted as a test.

Best Regards
