Looking for bright ideas!
One of my aging solar panels had one of the wires yanked out over the winter. I put a voltage tester on one of the exposed leads and got 9.5 volts. The twin of the damaged panel generates 19 volt output, with the controller stepping it down to 13 volts into the battery bank.
I decided that there are two sections inside this panel running in series, each generating 9.5 volts, for a total output of 19 volts. If I'm right, it seems I've lost the connection between the two sections.
Does anyone know how to repair these contraptions or a source of repair info?
