Barient Electric winches was created by Bill Fiegener
Hi, I have Barient electric winches as my primaries on my Brewer 44. Is there a special winch handle that is supposed to fit? The winch handles that I do have fit but they pop out of the socket. Not sure if the handle is supposed to lock in place or I need a special handle.
thanks

If your primaries are electric, like ours, there is a spring loaded "eject" system to force the winch handle out. It is intended for safety so that you do not leave the handle in the winch and run it electrically (which will swing the handle with terrific force and surprising speed). The handle should have a latching mechanism so you can lock it in, but you have to remember to take the handle out before using electrically.
