PS Tony Pocklington is currently making me a new board and his father Joe will install it -under my intense scrutiny...board cost is $4500.

That is… if you sail your Brewer as you sail a 12 meter at an old America's cup race. If, on the contrary, you sail your Brewer as we all sail our cruising boats (with a barnacle here and there) you will never notice that diminish geoleo is talking about, which is try of course but a matter of degree.

HI William,

I have a Brewer 12.8 and the center board pennant needs replacing.

What is the procedure you used?

Any pictures?

Bruce

Hi,
I would be interessted to know if you dry or beach your Brewer 12.8 in using drying legs.
Thank you in advance for your answer.
Regards.

Hi Thierry,

Not sure what your issue is. I've only owned mine for 2 yrs and have only serviced the CB while she's been in the water. My diver can clean the trunk and I'm planning on having him replace the pendant in June while she'd be in the water.

My other thought is to find a floating dock with less than 3 feet of water at low tide. Tie up loosely to the piling side and make sure you are leaning slightly against the pilings when the tide goes out. You'll attract much less attention than careening/beaching her.
