Does anyone know a source for brake pads for a Sarns prop lock?

Thanks!

Following up - I did find a source for the disc brake calipers for the Sarns Prop Lock. Tolomatic, Inc. tolomatic.com still makes the entire brake calliper assembly that Sarns used. The whole unit was about $100 so I never did ask them if I could buy just the brake pads.

The lever arm has changed so I reused the one off the old unit.

Hello Scott, my boat has a Sarns PropLock too and it is missing the pads/disassembled. I was thinking I might follow your steps and order the whole Tolomatic brake unit. From your picture (and .jpg file name) I surmised it is the following unit (ME10MAF) and sells for $148 : catalog.tolomatic.com/item/mechanical/me10-series/0707-0001

Is that the right one and any "lessons learned" from your install and use you can share (though i don't want to be a bother). Thanks. -Ben

Ben,

Memory is fuzzy after 10 years, but I recall it was a fairly straightforward replacement. Easier and cheaper than most 'boat jobs'. ;)

It is still in service today.

Good luck!
Scott
