Greetings Whitby 42 Family:
Replacing H12 All Craft water heater on my 1985 Whitby 42 and wondering if anyone else has thoughts about this. In touch with them up in Bellington, MA as they look for something similar to the old H12 we took out. Seems they don't make that model any more.
Anyone replaced their heater lately and has experience and thoughts?
Thanks.
Cheers,
Missy

We replaced out HW heater a couple of years ago with a 6 gallon Seaward (I think, I am away from the boat). NOTE: We have a Brewer 44 and the HW tanks may be located in different places. Ours is in the walk-through under the chart desk.

I expect very few Whitbys have the original water heaters and many won't be in their original locations. I am not familiar with the H12. Where is it installed? We replaced and moved our water heater a few years ago. We now have a 5 gallon Isotemp unit that has worked very well for us. It fits quite well under the floor beneath the nav station bench.

Ours (a 1976 Whitby 42) has a 12 gallon Raritan, under the galley area. Sits inboard of the galley deck access and forward/ to port of the bottom of the companionway steps.
