Andiamo has been in Rockland, Maine, since early August getting a refit. Here she is with her new topsides and bottom paint. The topsides are Awlgrip snow white and the bottom was soda blasted and painted with Coppercoat. The bottom will turn a patina green once in the water. We hope to launch late next week and head south to the Bahamas for the winter.

Beautiful boat! Hope you have a great trip.

What route will you take to the Bahama's?

Most likely we’ll sail down the coast from Maine to West Palm Beach then cross to the Abacos and work our way south to Long Island.

When you say down the coast, are you going down the ICW?

Noooooo, not the ditch. We’ve done that twice and don’t want to do it again. Interesting the first time, dull the second time, mind numbing the third time. We might duck in to avoid bad weather, but would rather sail in the ocean.

How far off-shore to you go? I'm looking to get a boat in the Keys and bring it North, likely in December/January time frame and am thinking about how best to bring it to the Chesapeake.
