Hull id # was created by Elijah Langston
Hi folks, much love and respect, I am looking for my hull id # on my 1985 Whitby 47' with bowsprint made in New Zealand. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Fair winds and following seas

Ours is on a plate just beneath the main companionway opening, in the cockpit.

The hull number is generally located on the upper starboard side of the transom. It should be a 12 or 13 digit number that starts with ZWB (made in Whitby, Canada) or FMW (made in Fort Myers, Florida, US). These are the only two locations where Whitbys were built. If indeed your boat was made in New Zealand, is it perhaps a different model designed by Ted Brewer?
Let me know if you do find the hull number. I'd like to add your information to our Whitby Brewer boat history. I'll contact you by email for this info.
