Davit mounting pictures

In the process of buying a '75 Whitby 42. Boat has everything we are looking for except davits. The owner thinks he saw pictures of the boat with davits mounted on the back deck but after a brief look I couldn't find any signs of mounting holes having been filled. Between the two lockers and cleats at the back there doesn't seem to be much room for deck mounted davits. If you have some pictures showing the mounting at the back I would sure like to see them.
Thanks,
Bob

Last season we bought a pair of davits for our Brewer 44 from Kayo and had them installed in Annapolis by people they recommended. We are very happy with them. I’ve included pictures

Bought some just like that, forget manufacturer, for our last boat. Had been wondering if the railing at the back is strong enough. I guess it is or did they any reinforcements?

Hello Bob, welcome to the club. The transom is very beefy and no reinforcement is needed. I can send more detailed photographs if needed.

Of course, the Whitby and the Brewer are slightly different boats, so you should also ask Whitby owners.

I wasn't concerned about the transom, but the railing where the upper end attaches.
