24th Annual Rendezvous

October 2-4, 2017

The Association holds a "sail-in" or "drive-in" Rendezvous each year. All interested in Whitby and Brewer crews are invited to attend.

Dock space is available on a reservation basis for 7 boats and there is plenty of room for lots of boats to anchor.

The 2017 Rendezvous will be held again at the West River Sailing Club in Galesville, Maryland.

As with all Whitby Brewer Sailboat Association activities, the Rendezvous is staffed by volunteers and funded entirely by the attendees.

The Rendezvous is the best opportunity to learn and share from the owners. There are boats to view and compare as well as plenty of experiences with equipment and gear. Presentations are largely owner/user/aficionado based. We strive to have some professional presentations mixed in with discussions about various topics among the attendees. We have learned that there are few more expert than those in attendance.

In addition to presentations, there is a wonderful opportunity to meet and get to know fellow WB sailors. We share a love of our boats and of adventure. How nice is it to drop anchor in a new anchorage and 10 minutes later hear a knock on the side of the hull only to greet folks you met at the Rendezvous? We're a fun family!
Please return the registration form to Maureen Kinsey (maureenkinsey10_at_gmail.com) and pay the registration fees to her same address through PayPal by September 22nd, 2017. If you need to pay by check, contact Maureen.

Registration Form

Monday night dinner is optional, appetizers are potluck.
Tuesday night dinner is extended to include local folks who want to come socialize and see our boats (members of the WRSC and local Whitby-Brewer enthusiasts who are not able to take off weekdays to attend the Rendezvous). There will be a separate ticket process for those folks to pay for their dinner. We’ll send it out through WRSC, our FB group and the Getting Together Forum on the WBS site. There will be a drawing after dinner for some Sailrite gear.
Early boats are asked to anchor out until Monday, so the Club members can use the facilities.
Optional things to bring:
   Boat cards
There will be a group discussion on weather: applications, sites and other information sources. Bring your knowledge to share.
A small appetizer to share for Happy Hour, for either Monday or Wednesday.

WRSC Rules:
No camping allowed (RVs, campers, tents) on the grounds.
Parking is allowed only in the WRSC parking lot. Cars will be towed if parked at the neighboring West River Yacht Harbor.
